Tate McTae tops Apple Music charts in more than 10 countries!
The breakthrough pop artist has recently dropped herhighly anticipated sophomore album, Think Later
Press Photos here
Multi-platinum singer/songwriter Tate McRae solidifies her breakout moment with the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, THINK LATER via RCA Records.
Upon its debut, the pop blockbuster topped Apple Musicin more than ten counties, including Australia, Canada, Germany, Norway, and more.
In the Philippines, Tate McRae peaked at no. 14 on Apple Music, and continues to blow up with smash singles “greedy” and “exes” gaining traction on both streaming and top 40 radio.
THINK LATER and its 14 songs are steeped in pop appeal and infectious toplines. Showcasing Tate’s boundless vocal talent and evolution as a songwriter, this new body of work explores the all-too-relatable feelings of falling in love and embracing the raw emotions that you experience as a result of leading with your intuition and heart.
Executive produced by hitmaker Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Beyoncé), the album features writing collaborators and producers including Amy Allen (Harry Styles, Justin Bieber), Jasper Harris (Doja Cat, Post Malone), Greg Kurstin (Adele, Pink), ILYA (Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith), Savan Kotecha (Ariana Grande, The Weeknd) and more.
Speaking on the album, Tate says, “After freshly turning 20, when I began to zoom out and reflect on the relationships and situations in my life, I realized that a common thread was that I had been living and making decisions much more spontaneously and way less with my head for the past year. This album represents the feelings of falling in love, feeling glimpses of obsession, missing the signs, and feeling the repercussions. I really wanted to lean into a more pop leaning sound, and approach my writing from a way more playful and curious place. I was able to make this album with a few people I admire so much, and cannot be more grateful.”
Tracklist
1. cut my hair
2. greedy
3. run for the hills
4. hurt my feelings
5. grave
6. stay done
7. exes
8. we’re not alike
9. calgary
10. messier
11. think later
12. guilty conscience
13. want that too
14. plastic palm trees
Lead single “greedy,” earned the star her first #1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, Global Excl. US chart and Spotify’s Global chart. The self-assured hypnotic offering has garnered over 552 million streams to date and hit #7 on the Hot 100 along with #1 most added at Top 40 and Hot AC radio upon release. “greedy” has been called “an artistic turning point… a propulsive self-empowerment anthem built around a firecracker of a pop hook that finds McRae dipping in and out of a falsetto while exuding unshakeable confidence” by Billboard.
Out of all the new releases on November 17th, Tate’s latest song “exes,” had the biggest debut on Spotify’s Global Top Songs chart. It was released alongside a steamy music video featuring intoxicating visuals and high energy choreography as Tate and her dancers took over a rundown rodeo for the night. Making it her biggest first week debut to date, “exes” has been deemed “equally infectious…with a chorus that’s catchy enough to put the same kind of success well within reach” by Rolling Stone.
Last month, Tate made her musical guest debut on Saturday Night Live with host Jason Momoa where she performed her hit single “greedy” and debuted a new song “grave.” She was featured on the cover of Billboard’s November Music Awards Issue and performed “greedy” at the award show.

Filipino rapper WAIIAN captures the simplicity of everyday life on “Pablo” music video
The jazzy, laidback tune serves as the focus track off his third studio album, WEYAAT?
Filipino hip-hop artist WAIIAN offers a generous heap of slice-of-life goodness on the music video of “Pablo,” his new single under Sony Music Entertainment.
The MV captures a day in the life of Pablo (his real name), where he finds happiness and contentment in the simplest of things. The Joshua Cecario-helmed visuals depict a young man who lives in the present day and enjoys his routine, from spending time in his home studio to navigating familiar and far-flung places with his motorcycle ride—all lovingly filmed to present moments of beauty that surround him every single day.
“It’s about living life and making music out of it and making music to live a life,” the Solo Mission act explains.
Written by WAIIAN himself and produced by Tatz Maven, “Pablo” solidifies his reputation as one of the most exciting young bloods in Philippine hip-hop. The laid-back tune serves as the focus track off his third studio album, WEYAAT?, which was released on December 1, 2023.
The nine-track album is thematically diverse but distinctly shaped by his keen sense of self-awareness. Led by the last track of the same name and new single “Pablo,”"WEYAAT?" is a slang for “WAIIAN, where you at?,” which is his way of reintroducing himself to the world after a three-year sabbatical in music. The groovy but sonically eclectic record also features collaborations with Kashira, a music production company founded by critically acclaimed producers and musicians U-Pistol, TatzMaven, and Calix.
“I want listeners to recognize the energy that I put into these songs,” the prolific rapper adds. “Luckily, I’ve met people along the way who helped translate my vibe into music. Somehow, it adds extra sauce and interesting layers, sonic-wise.”
WAIIAN’s WEYAAT? is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment. Watch the music video here.

Sony Music Entertainment Philippines and Benj Pangilinan honor the tradition of ‘paying it forward’ through Season of Giving campaign
The initiative is part of a campaign to engage the country in a fight to alleviate food insecurity and malnutrition
Manila, Philippines – Sony Music Entertainment Philippines(SMEP) and Filipino singer-songwriter Benj Pangilinan have recently linked up with Rise Against Hunger Philippines(RAHP), an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world's most vulnerable, to support communities in Manila that are impacted by food insecurity and malnutrition.
This initiative is part of Sony Music Group’s global ‘Season of Giving’ campaign, where the company upholds its commitment in collaborating with partner organizations through a series of in-person events and charitable activities.
For this particular project, the international record label has collaborated with Rise Against Hunger Philippines in enacting programs that are design to uplift the lives of many peoplethrough food aid and entertainment. In a collective statement, RAHP was all praises to Sony Music Philippines and Benj for spreading the holiday joy with the children this season of giving. “Their dedication to give back not only makes this holiday season merrier for the kids, but also makes our mission to achieve food security all the more possible.”
The fast-rising recording star has recently joined the SMEP team through a day of volunteering and performances at the Better World Tondo community center, which functions as a food bank and feeding center. This is where RAHP holds food drives, and the AHA Learning Center manages an after-class studying program for the disadvantaged kids.
Aside from providing relief and assistance to the beneficiaries, Benj performed two songs, including his current single, “Dance Like You.”
“Giving back has always been something I’ve loved doing,” the Sony Music talent said. “This opportunity was a wonderful experience for me. Sometimes, when you bless others, you realize later how much you’ve gained and learned from the experience. I’m also grateful to Sony and my management team from Genesis for sharing my vision when it comes to giving back to the community.”
Donning a hairnet, gloves, and a Rise Against Hunger PH apron, the young and promising artist engaged with the kids through fun games and activities and helped in the distribution of food.
In a random act of kindness, the multi-talented newcomer also talked to one of the ice cream cart vendors outside and bought his whole stock for the day. He distributed ice cream to the kids and moms who were present during the feeding program activity.
Benj shares, “We were about to leave, and I just saw the guy selling, so I just thought to help out. I didn’t expect that a small act like that would have such a major impact on them. I’m always happy to help.”
Season of Giving, a global initiative of Sony Music Group, runs throughout the holiday season in collaboration with charity partners across Africa, Asia, Australia/New Zealand, Canada, Continental Europe, Latin America, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In addition to Benj Pangilinan, other notable artists who have volunteered with partner organizations and Sony Music Entertainment in the past two years include Shoti, NOBITA, and Hazel Faith.
This campaign also represents the company’s ongoing philanthropic commitment to forge partnerships and support communities that need it most, which are anchored in its culture of making a difference and contributing to social development through music.
“At Sony Music Philippines, we believe in using our platform to not only entertain but also to uplift and empower communities,” Roslyn Pineda, General Manager, Philippines, Sony Music Entertainment, explains in a press statement. We are committed to continuing our Season of Giving initiatives and partnering with organizations like Rise Against Hunger Philippines to create a positive impact in our society.”
Pineda adds, “Together with artists like Benj Pangilinan, we look forward to more opportunities to give back and make a difference in the lives of those who need it the most. We are immensely proud of their dedication and grateful to have such compassionate individuals as part of our Sony Music family.”

Offshore Music releases 9-track holiday album, An Offshore Christmas
The compilation record features tracks from ena mori, Mt. Lewis, Elton Clark, Sansette, and more
Offshore Music, a Manila-based record label known for its focus on creative integrity, captures the spirit of the holiday season with a new compilation album featuring its stellar roster of local music acts.
Aptly titled An Offshore Christmas, the 9-track record earworms its way into the collective consciousness with diverse stories spanning generations and experiences, interpreting what Christmas meant from varied lenses: a joyful hymn that brims with life and humanity, a vodka-induced downer that revels in the sentiments of missing home, a quirky jam that envelopes listeners with comforting warmth, and simply, a frustrated sad song that barely keeps up with the season’s booming, optimistic energy.
As Offshore Music CEO Ely Buendia puts it, “The album is a kaleidoscope of emotions, from melancholy to euphoria, as well as a feast for anyone who enjoys all kinds of music.”
Offshore Music General Manager Audry Dionisio takes pride in the record’s insistence not to be boxed in the usual category of how a holiday-inspired album should be. She points out, “We also made sure that people from different walks of life would not feel left out. Every song in the album can be played way past the Christmas season, that’s for sure.”
The Christmas-themed album features recently released tracks from its esteemed lineup of artists, including Pinkmen, Suspiria Pink, Elton Clark, Sansette, Eliza Marie, JR Oca Experience, Sulo, as well as additional new songs from ena mori and Mt. Lewis.
“With the new roster of artists on board, it also created a fresh and inspired energy within us to collaborate more with them and for them to showcase their abilities to the public more,” Offshore Music A&R Director Pat Sarabia shares.
Mt. Lewis’ “Trip To Jerusalem,” the album’s focus track, provides a contemporary spin on The Eraserheads’ cult holiday classic while retaining the original’s intrinsic charm and fuzz. When asked about how he feels about the rendition, Ely Buendia expressed his approval of the band’s tenacity to breathe new life to an underrated, deep cut. “We thought it was fitting to honor their brave achievement by having one of our artists cover a song from Fruitcake for our own Christmas release.”
Another album highlight is ena mori’s “Christmas Song (Version II),” a bittersweet little tune about choosing to celebrate Christmas alone with cats rather than joining a party filled with family members and friends who do nothing but send a minefield of emotional triggers. Over snappy, acoustic guitars and minimal percussions, the alt-pop star delivers an anthem that is bold and uncompromising in its message but remains hopeful amidst the intention to hide the hurting.
Offshore A&R Manager Otep Tumambing emphasizes that the holiday record is more than just a reinforcement of postcard-perfect tradition but also a time to nurse the wounds of isolation and grief—all valid feelings that deserve to be celebrated on the same level as their merrier counterparts.
“Christmas is one of the most celebrated holidays globally, symbolizing joy, togetherness, and generosity. An Offshore Christmas aims to provide our artists and their audience with a platform to express their views on Christmas, even if it's about sadness and loneliness. Not everyone experiences the usual ‘happy’ Christmas, and they deserve to be celebrated as well.”
‘An Offshore Christmas’ is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Offshore Music and Sony Music Entertainment.

Filipino rapper Alex Bruce links up with Costa Cashman on the minimalist bop “Bling”
Filipina rapper Alex Bruce and O Side Mafia’s Costa Cashman coast through a seamless blend of minimalist rap and spaced-out production for their new single “Bling,” released under Sony Music Entertainment.
The unexpected pairing brims with chemistry that few others can lay claim to while delivering larger-than-life verses that play to their individual strengths.
“This song celebrates our success as an artist and how we’ve come a long way in surmounting the challenges in our respective careers,” the young Filipina rapper explains. “We’re both bragging respectfully, but there’s more to this track than flaunting our achievements. It’s also about hard work and rewarding yourself and the people around you who made it possible for you to survive and win in life.”
“Bling” serves as Alex Bruce’s first collaboration with a fellow artist on equal billing. The track is produced by Costa Cashman and BRGR, whose unique styles mesh together to create a star-making bop for the streaming generation.
The rising young talent expressed her confidence in the outcome of the material, particularly on the technical side of the production. She attests, “I’ve always trusted Cashman and BRGR when it comes to dishing out the best beats to complement my energy and delivery. I am aware that they know what they’re doing, and based on first-hand experience, the material resonates with me on a personal level.”
“Bling” is the follow-up to “Betty Bruce,” a 2023 single that reasserts the young artist’s position as a feisty young rapper celebrating the importance of self-worth and womanhood. The 16-year-old hip-hop sensation recently headlined a FIBA halftime performance for international brand NIKE.
Alex Bruce’s “Bling” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.

The initiative is part of a campaign to engage the country in a fight to alleviate food insecurity and malnutrition
Manila, Philippines – Sony Music Entertainment Philippines (SMEP) continues to give back to disadvantaged communities through food aid and relief.
This comes as part of Sony Music Group’s global ‘Season of Giving’ campaign, where the company and its artists are paying it forward to the countries in which the international music label operates. Across the world, SMG is supporting global organizations dedicated to providing aid for those facing food insecurity, homelessness and refugee support, as well as music industry relief and educational programs for communities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the international music label has partnered with Reach Out and Feed Philippines for a feeding program that provides assistance and relief to households in highly urbanized areas such as Barangay Damayang Lagi in Quezon City. Sony Music has been partners with them since last year, where they provided food aid, along with pop-rock band, NOBITA, to local communities impacted by the pandemic.
As reported by Reach out and Feed Philippines, the community-wide initiative has supported more than 100,000individuals to date.
Reach Out and Feed Philippines extended their deepest gratitude to Sony Music for providing valuable support to the feeding outreach. “Their support is not just a contribution; it's a lifeline to those in need. Together, we're making a tangible difference, one meal at a time,” Dawn Cabigon, Founder and Chairperson of Reach Out and Feed Philippines said.
The team, which was headed by Sony Music, distributed healthy meals to indigent families. Shoti, one of the label’s recording stars, volunteered and serenaded the beneficiaries with hismusic, which includes a performance of the viral smash “LDR,” the new single “waiting 4 u (delulu),” and a rendition of the holiday classic “Jingle Bell Rock.”
"I’ve received a lot of blessings this year,” said the teen pop singer-songwriter. “And the least thing that I can do is to pay it forward in my own little way. I’m grateful to my Sony Music family and Brgy. Damayang Lagi for the opportunity to bring joy and inspiration to these families. I’m honored to have used my platform in enacting impactful changes within the community, and I hope to be of service to more people in the future.”

TECNO Launches "Don't Stop Rising" Campaign, Inspiring Filipino Youth to Reach New Heights
Through authentic storytelling and local influencers, TECNO sparks inspiration and innovation, fostering an unstoppable spirit in the heart of the Philippines.
Manila- Dec 5, 2023
Innovative technology brand TECNO today launched its brand campaign "Don't Stop Rising" in the Philippines, marked by the unveiling of its new brand manifesto video “Never Not Ready”.With its finger on the pulse of Filipino youth, TECNO highlights the incredible drive of young Filipinos to forge their own path and create their own opportunities. The campaign serves as a dynamic call to action, urging young people across the country to embrace every moment, make it their own, and never stop rising to be their best selves.
(Insert the Never Not Ready Video)
This campaign takes flight with a compelling and creative music manifesto“Never Not Ready”, transcending traditional brand films. The video embodies the core spirit of contemporary Filipino youth – they do not wait for the perfect moment to be prepared; instead, they seize the opportunity to rise: A fashionista can discover creative ways to express herself on social media by using light from just a CD; a game lover never misses opportunities to enhance his gaming skills, even when waiting for coffee; a passerby can grab a basketball that comes to his feet, shoot and score; and a dancer can spontaneously choreograph and create captivating TikTok content anytime, anywhere.
The video authentically reflects the attitude and spirit of contemporary youth in the Philippines. As TECNO’s Chief Brand Officer, Lucia Liu shared: “We deeply understand Filipino consumers, which is why TECNO is initiating this exciting campaign after TECNO’s rise in the Philippines in recent years. Today we are not just launching a marketing campaign but creating something that deeply resonates with the essence of Filipinos, establishing an emotional connection with them and giving them a strong voice-out about their inspiring ‘Never Not Ready’ attitude to life.”
Indeed, positioned at the forefront of business and innovation in the Asia-Pacific region, the Philippines is experiencing rapid economic growth. Simultaneously, the youth in the Philippines are rising to keep pace with the nation's development, including pursuing higher education to meet global standards. Furthermore, the rising spirit of young Filipinos is to create their own opportunities in life instead of waiting for the perfect chance to find them. This spirit is seamlessly reflected in the daily lives of the local youth – always prepared to seize opportunities, showcasing unlimited potential and creativity.
The stories in the manifesto video are all drawn from the real-life experiences of Filipino youth. Take starring influencer Kush Obusan and CJ Villafuerte's journeys as examples. Back in her university days, Kush was already active in the fashion industry as a fashion photographer. While her peers were still on campus, preparing for future careers, Kush was ready to pursue her dream. Now, she has become an influential voice in fashion for Gen Z on social media. CJ's story is equally compelling. His passion and talent for gaming propelled him into the gaming livestream industry, laying the foundation for his subsequent success. Today, he not only livestreams games but also manages ventures in property leasing, restaurants, and skincare. In his words, "In every battle I face in a game, I see it as an opportunity to strive for victory and to rise for a better self, just as I face every day in my life. I am ‘Never Not Ready’ for the daily challenges we encounter."
The manifesto serves as a prelude to upcoming campaigns and the eagerly awaited 12.12 and Christmas season big promotions in the Philippines. TECNO is set to engage its audience further by encouraging them to share their own "Don't Stop Rising" stories on social media to win TECNO Xmas Rising Gift Boxes. Additionally, during the offline pop-up store event at SM Mall of Asia from Dec 1 to Dec 21, customers can buy any TECNO Phone and have their Christmas wish granted, while those who visit the pop-up shop, post a social media check-in, can also stand a chance to win big prizes.More TECNO product discounts and freebies will be offered through a series of market activities in the Philippines during this peak season.
In essence, the "Don't Stop Rising" campaign serves as a living expression of the overarching brand ethos, encapsulated by the resolute commitment to “Stop at Nothing”. It also aligns seamlessly with TECNO’s global endeavors, exemplified by the brand’s previous campaign – "Don’t Stop Exploring Life’s New Angles" – designed to inspire youth in India to unearth their true passions.Collectively, these initiatives manifest TECNO's brand essence, transcending mere rhetoric to become a guiding force within local operations. TECNO stands not only as a provider of technological innovation but as a catalyst for substantial progress, and a pioneer of technologies that enable global youth to rise to their full potential.
