Multi-platinum pop sensation Tate McRae releases her highly anticipated third album So Close To What via RCA Records. It represents the insurmountable moments in life, where the road ahead at times can feel endless and the destination non-existent. It’s an introspective exploration of self-discovery, love, and nostalgia. The album and its songs navigate the raw emotions of healing an old heart and the hesitations that come with falling in love again, the beautiful and sometimes harsh realities of what it means to be a woman and embracing a newfound confidence. Wrapped in irresistible pop production and unfiltered lyricism, So Close To What is written and produced with hitmakers Ryan Tedder, Grant Boutin, Amy Allen, Julia Michaels, and more. Listen HERE.
The album features “Sports car” which exploded on social media with over 1M TikTok creations and is currently in the top 15 at US Pop Radio. It also includes the irresistible “It’s ok I’m ok” which hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart and earned the star her highest-debuting song of her career on the Billboard Hot 100.
Today, Tate shares the official music video for her new song “Revolving door” which is directed by Aerin Moreno (Tyla, Tinashe) and choreographed by Robbie Blue (Charli XCX, Doechii.) The visual shows Tate stuck in this liminal space dancing continuously and unable to leave through any doors. It illustrates her relationship with the revolving door of her life and career when the destination feels undefined. Watch HERE.
