Fit and Faithful

I usually spend my mornings working out at my local park. The other day, I chose to have breakfast at Tropical Hut, where I had their omelette and coffee.

For lunch, I went to Pancake House for their corned beef hash and rice.

I had some time in between commitments, so I was able to swing by St. Clare Monastery for some prayer and thanksgiving.

I was also able to try Maxi Mango’s famous mango float from Davao. I was lucky enough to catch their pop-up at Trinoma. The long lines were worth it! It was a delicious dessert, and I really hope that they will have a permanent spot in Manila someday.

I wrapped up my day with dinner and a belated birthday gift from a family friend.

I stick to my fitness, food, and faith routine because it works for me. It also provides balance to my life, now that I am working freelance and blogging on the side. I am looking for a permanent job too, and it helps to align my goals as I follow a working routine. Here’s to better opportunities to come as I carry on with my daily schedule!

Spaghetti, Yarn, and Yearning

Yesterday, I knitted while having lunch at Pancake House. I had their spaghetti, which is one of my favorite spaghettis of all time. It was a delight to hang out at a classic place, and it was a joy to knit while doing so.

The repetitive stitches do help me relax. This is why I highly recommend knitting to anyone who needs a new hobby.

I got home to the latest newsletter from the Pink Sisters Convent in Quezon City. They have also included a piece of paper for my intercessions for the month. It is indeed time to go back.

My passions for food, knitting, and prayer are connected to each other in such a way that there is continuity between them. I am able to nourish my body, my mind, and my soul by practicing what I love. I look forward to a restful weekend ahead so that I may unwind and prepare for a productive week.

Breakfast and Lemonade

Yesterday’s brunch was this happy plate of bratwurst, beans, eggs, and mashed potatoes from Pancake House. It was called the My Breakfast Medley. It reminded me of an English breakkie, and it was delicious!

I also had lemonade with Yakult later during the day, and it is already my favorite variant of the drink.

I got to walk around the mall after mass and I got to spend some time inside The Craft Central. I enjoyed looking around the store, appreciating their planner wall, taking note of their handmade finds, and purchasing some yarn.

I found this sign on their floor, and I could not resist taking a photo of it. If I could tell a story of how my day went, I would say that I powered through with brunch, some KFC for dinner, a killer lemonade, mass, and some handmade inspo. That should get me through the week with good vibes!
