Eat, Pray, Love

Yesterday, I went to Padre Pio Chapel in Libis after my meeting in Ortigas. It was the 23rd of the month, which is the birth anniversary date of Padre Pio. I prayed for my intentions, and gave thanks for the blessings that I continue to receive.

I am inspired by the faithful who unceasingly gather in this church, and surrender their rosaries for every answered prayer.

I ended my day with some carbonara at Cucina Di Francesco, and a cozy e-jeep ride back to the MRT station.
Life is better whenever there’s a reason to pray. And since I’m a foodie, I will always find an excuse to enjoy a delicious bowl of pasta. Life can be filled with love, for as long as I will keep on doing the things that make me happy.

Makers Cafe

Yesterday, I got to catch the opening of Makers Cafe. It is located along Maginhawa Street, and it is right beside my alma mater, Holy Family School.

I won a pair of Pulseras by Kim stud earrings, and I gladly selected a pair of starry ones.

I also got to meet Kim, the lady behind Pulseras by Kim! The cafe is also hers, and I’m stoked to have a space along my favorite foodie street that sells coffee and bling.

I ordered their carbonara. It was delicious!

Their flat white did not disappoint.

The tiny space was spruced up with hipster details.

They also have fast WiFi connection, electric sockets, and yummy waffles.

I bought gold-filled jewelry from Kim as well: a textured chain and a minute Eiffel pendant. So cute!

Do take note that Kim also customizes jewelry. She also sells in bulk for giveaways.

I also bought hoop earrings for my mom.

Before driving home, I took selfies with my alma mater’s facade.

I love bling, pasta, waffles, and coffee. All these can be found under one roof. I will definitely be back for more coffee and good vibes!

Spinach Tartufina Carbonara

Salta! (yes, it is really spelled that way) is one of my go-to Italian restaurants in Quezon City because they serve handmade pasta. I have a soft spot for chewy, handmade goodness, so it is not surprising that I have fallen in love with this their spinach tartufina carbonara. It is a light balance of flavors, complemented by the gooey, runny egg and parmesan cheese.

It is sunshine on a plate.

I highly recommend this pasta dish because of its genius play on light flavors. It is good for one hungry person, so be sure to eat it on an empty stomach so that you could appreciate its generous serving.

Enjoy!
