In Good Company

Yesterday, I had lunch with my helper Racquel at a Greek restaurant. We had to finish some errands, and this was a delicious break from our tasks.

Then, I met my maternal relatives from the US and Canada for early dinner. We ate Filipino food, and had a massage afterwards.

I even managed to squeeze in some knitting while having my massage.

As an only child, it’s important that I find good company to help me get through my dad’s terminal illness. I’m glad that my maternal relatives supported me during this difficult time, and that my helper is always willing to extend a helping hand. They inspire me to keep going, no matter how bleak the days seem to be.

Here’s to better days ahead!

Faith and Healing

Yesterda, I had the remarkable opportunity to be in the presence of Healing Priest, Fr. Fernando Suarez. It was a privilege to meet him. I asked him to pray for me and my dad.

I had some religious articles blessed by the esteemed priest. These were my pasalubong for my family.

The mass left me in tears. Just like when I was in the presence of Pope Benedict the XVI, I felt the holy power of this priest. I was moved to tears as I prayed for my intentions.

After the mass, I went for a blind massage.

And before going home, I had an Assam milk tea with pearls and pudding.

I believe that miracles are possible in my life, and in my family. I keep on praying for healing for my dad, a good job for me by March, and strength for my mom. I am also praying for the recovery of my best friend, Luti.

May God bless us all!

A Fresh Start

Back when I was still working at Ortigas, I would have lunch at Juju Eats Podium. Their pesto pasta salad was my favorite as it was filling and refreshing!

For my last lunch of the year, I had it again. I love their sticker: GOOD JUJU!

I missed this salad so much!

It brought me back to the good old days. As I welcome 2019, I remain optimistic that the days will be good, bearable, and blessed.

I knitted while having coffee.

Then I had a chair massage after running some errands!

I am welcoming the new year with a new bag and wallet. I chose local brand Heartstrings because all of their bags are designed and made in the Philippines! Also, this colorful rainbow design is cheery and bright. I am straight, but rainbows just resonate with me.

I know that it’s up to me to make 2019 better than the last! So with a growth mindset and optimism, I know that I got this!

Barkin Blends at SM North

Yesterday, I attended the grand opening of Barkin’ Blends Dog Cafe’s second branch at SM North Towers. I had so much fun!

I was greeted by Finn the golden retriever.

And I was drawn by their display of food for dogs!

Yes, dogs! You can date your dog here!

Since it was their opening, I was treated to salted egg chicken wings and carbonara which are only available from their Sta. Lucia branch.

I totally dig their inclusive restroom.

Here I am with the owners, Ajie and Ate Tina, who have already become my close friends.

Their doggo treats are reasonably priced.

They also offer made-to-order doggo cakes!

Finally, here are a couple of pictures with Bern, the main girlboss begins Barkin’ Blends. She’s wearing my Christmas present, a cowl which I have knitted for her.

I also got to cuddle their resident doggos, like my favorite Ella.

For dessert, I dropped by their neighbor, Elait.

They are known for their deaf crew and frozen yogurt and custard.

I also had shawarma bratwurst and rice near SM Hypermarket.

I capped off my day with Bayani Brew...

I will definitely go back to all the places I’ve been to yesterday, especially Barkin’ Blends and Elait! See you again soon!

Fluffy Sunday

I spent my sunny Sunday with my favorite dog Ella at Barkin’ Blends! I love cuddling with her because she makes me feel as if all is well in this world.

Her expressive little face also cheers me up whenever I look at our pictures together.

I also got to hug the other dogs, like Charlie the chocolate lab.

Then, I watched a local film entitled To Love Some Buddy. It was entertaining and funny!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I also had the entire section of the cinema all to myself.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I ended my day with a whole body massage by a blind masseuse. It was a relaxing way to unwind after a week of tasks and errands.

I look forward to more chances to unwind to balance my life and find more meaning amidst daily challenges.
