Quarantine Business

I am using this quarantine period to spend time by myself. Being mindful about my hobbies and tasks is key to maximizing this time. I am doing a good job so far in doing everything I need to do and also running errands whenever I am needed.

One of the things that keeps me busy is my online shop. Most supermarkets now have incomplete stocks, and many e-commerce sites are not delivering anymore. My Human Nature online store is still delivering natural toiletries right at your doorstep! There is enough hand soap and hand sanitizer in stock so now is the time to support my small business.

Shop now! Click here to buy from my online store. God bless you!

QC Hits

Yesterday, I spent my day running errands and buying stuff at Quezon City, my hometown! I started with Human Nature Cubao, the newest branch of the brand I support. I fulfilled some offline orders here to show the branch some love.

If ever you need hand sanitizers and other natural personal care products, you may also buy from my Human Nature online store. Not only will you support me, you will also be helping communities who work with the brand to provide natural ingredients and raw materials. Thank you!

Adjustments.jpeg

Then, I had early dinner at Kanto Pares. I love pares! This Pinoy beef delicacy is my go-to comfort food whenever I want a quick and filling meal. I order extra egg and drizzle mine with soy sauce, calamansi, and chili. Sarap!

Adjustments.jpeg

I also got to walk through Teacher’s Village and found some beautiful blooms such as this one.

Adjustments.jpeg

My last stop was Pulseras By Kim, a well-loved studio that is known for gold-filled and gold-plated non-tarnish minimalist jewelry. I got some bow huggers for myself and new earrings for my cousin from Canada.

This shop is full of heart and the owner, Kim, has already become a friend. If you are also into everyday pieces that won’t break the bank, I suggest that you check them out! They are located right beside Holy Family School at Maginhawa.

It doesn’t take much to make me happy. A quick stroll through a familiar street, some local brands, and comfort food are all I need to have a fun day.

Here’s to more good days and happy memories!

Human Nature Cubao

Last February 15, I attended the opening of Human Nature Cubao. It is located along the LRT2 concourse, making it a convenient shopping location for commuters.

The franchise is owned by Mr. Steven Tan and family. They started as core advocates at Human Nature, until they opened the Human Nature kiosk at Farmer’s Plaza. Now, they run their own branch and aim to capture the direct selling market at the crossroads of the railways.

It was an honor to witness the opening of this store. It is a testament to the advocates’ faith in Human Nature, and the transformative power of this social enterprise that I am also part of.

I look toward to shopping for my personal needs and orders here! Coffee is also served here with every purchase.

I hope that you will also support Human Nature Cubao soon!

Cny with Human Nature

Yesterday, I celebrated Chinese New Year with my Human Nature Flagship Store family. I’m incredibly thankful for the blessings that I have received while being part of this family.

In_Pact Asia 2019

I was fortunate to be a delegate in the In_Pact Asia 2019, a conference on inclusive impact at the Asian Development Bank. I attended because of my passion for social enterprise, which I apply to my Human Nature online dealership.

Please support me by making a purchase on my Human Nature Online Shop!  Every purchase supports communities in need and sustains my micro enterprise. Thank you!

IMAGE.JPG

I started my day with a hearty breakfast at the famed ADB cafeteria.

The delegate wristband was cool as it was embedded with spinach seeds, which makes it grow when it is planted.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I also got to connect with Mariel, a familiar face from my previous conferences in an educational institution. It was lovely to chat with someone from the inclusive business space.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

My key takeaways from the conference is that diversity drives businesses to foster collaboration. This will drive inclusion in the sense that no one is left behind, and ethical business decisions will help workers thrive amidst the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Also, social enterprise is key to sustain communities and to empower women to make a difference in the age of fair trade.

It was a privilege to attend the fireside chat that featured Human Nature’s President Anna Meloto, who shared how Human Nature empowers women (particularly mothers) to have stable careers while caring for their families.

I got to enjoy ADB’s notable cuisine and interact with like minded individuals. Learning about industrial trends is the reason why I attend seminars and conferences. May this be the start of more productive events that allow me to share, exchange ideas, and realize my place in the bigger picture of business and social impact.

Summer Nature

Yesterday, we had the launch of the newest products at the Human Nature Flagship Store. My favorite is the new green tea lotion. Please help me by buying from my Human Nature Online StoreSupport my small business, and help me thrive!

I had fun during the party, and it was also great to catch up with my friends there. Here’s to more sales and opportunities to share the goodness of social enterprise with others!

Refilling Hearts

Yesterday, I attended the launch of the refilling station for home care products at the Human Nature flagship store. I was eager to witness this important milestone for our company.

In case you missed it, I sell Human Nature products through my online store! Please support me while also helping the communities that are assisted with livelihood and skills training by the company. Every purchase counts as you switch to natural personal and home care products!

As always, every Human Nature event is an opportunity to catch up with fellow dealers turned friends, such as Kristel.

IMG_4350.jpeg
IMG_4355.jpeg

I joined some games to get the party started. We were asked what we will do if we were given Php1M, and we told the crowd that we will train communities to create livelihood opportunities and multiply that impact across the country, similar to what Human Nature is already doing. We can even theoretically collaborate with them!

Of course, the event is not all fun and games. The environment urgently needs our help in conserving finite resources and living sustainably, that’s why I brought my helper Racquel with me. It is important that my staff also knows about this cause, and that she sees firsthand how this advocacy is translated into a practical solution, such as our new refilling station. It also matters to me that she witnesses what I do for a living (while I also work freelance and search for corporate employment). It is my hope that she lives more sustainably as well after hearing the speeches on that day.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I saw more friends in the Core Advocate group, which is comprised of long-time dealers who have taken time to take the advocacy through the next level. Maque and Lei have been with me during a community breakfast with the flagship store’s neighbors last year, and we have also joined a community immersion at the GK Enchanted Farm last February.

FullSizeRender.jpg

We had our fill of coffee and pastries as we witnessed this milestone.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Megs and Ate Rhea have become my friends through the years. They are sone of the reasons why Human Nature continues to grow.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

Ate Yla has been managing the flagship store and has turned it into a powerhouse of social enterprise. She has also become a dear friend.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Here we are with our president Anna Meloto-Wilk, who empowered us all with a heartfelt speech on saving Mother Nature in our own little way and still selling quality natural products. Her own journey into sustainability in her own home (as a wife and mum of six kids) and in her job was not easy, but it  eventually became a conscious choice.

I am so proud of Human Nature, and I am honored to be one its core advocates who share the goodness with each sale.

I hope that you, dear reader, will continue to support me and my Human Nature online store! Our company continues to change lives and lead by example in the industry.

Here’s to more years of sustainability and success!

Ladies First!

Yesterday, I went to Makati for an event. But first, I dropped by the Washington Sycip park for some sunshine and good vibes.

IMAGE.JPG
IMAGE.JPG

After my short walk, I proceeded to the Keds Ladies for Ladies event at Acceler8 by Unionspace.

IMAGE.JPG

I won the entrance to this party through Human Nature, the brand that I distribute on my online store. Please buy and support me today by clicking here!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I was delighted to see millennial details like board games, greenery, and books.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I met up with Anna Meloto-Wilk and Camille Meloto-Rodriguez, who founded Human Nature along with Dylan Wilk (Anna’s husband) in 2008.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I felt inspired by simply being there. There were ladies from different industries in that room, and while it was primarily to celebrate a sneaker line, it was magical to witness women leaders speak about their journeys and battles.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

The grazing table was the focal point of the event as food naturally brought ladies together for some hearty cocktails and pica-pica.

FullSizeRender.jpg
IMG_3603.JPG

The event started with a sharing from Stacy and Danah Gutierrez of Plump PH. Their body positivity movement needs no introduction, but it was their personal motivations that moved me. They began their cause from their struggles with their weight and self-acceptance. Now, they receive validation from celebrities and global brands like Keds. They’re truly an inspiration.

IMAGE.JPG

My Human Nature girlbosses Camille and Anna warmed our hearts with their selfless goals to provide jobs for fellow Filipinos and provide natural alternatives that even the average Pinoy can afford. They have acknowledged that while it’s not easy to be perceived wrongly based on their looks and gender (they both look young for their ages!), their hard work eventually spoke for itself.

FullSizeRender.jpg

The Cosmopolitan Philippines ladies Jilly Gatcheco-Cantada and Retty Contreras spoke about building a better workplace for women. Their stance on collaboration and kindness built in me a resolve to become a compassionate coworker in my next job.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Lastly, Gabbi Garcia graced the event. Her poise, class, and anti-bullying stance in showbiz gave me hope in a society that tends to pull women down.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I learned to appreciate opportunities such as this event because ladies do really have a voice in society. While there may be challenges along the way, we can get through them together as long as we collaborate rather than be mean to each other.

I look forward to being a more empowered woman this year, and beyond!

Core Advocacy

Yesterday, I joined a workshop on growing my income at the Human Nature Flagship Store.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I joined my fellow Core Advocates in learning and sharing on a Saturday afternoon. Our colleague, Lei, was the enthusiastic resource speaker.

FullSizeRender.jpg

The lecture was practical, and well-received! I will definitely use the SMART goals in planning and organizing.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Building my empire sounds daunting, but it really is achievable. I have to consistently practice effort and creativity in order to earn more and be more!

Here’s to more learning this 2019!

Videoke Night

Last night was a lovely opportunity for me to be grateful for all the blessings. My Human Nature family and I had our Core Advocate Night, wherein we focused on our theme for 2019: Matthew 6:33 (But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. NIV).

I am thankful for all the support that is extended to me as a Human Nature Dealer. Please continue doing so by purchasing from my Human Nature Online Shop!

FullSizeRender.jpg

We closed our fellowship with a potluck dinner and a videoke night! I had fun belting out my Aegis and Whitney Houston favorites.

Farm Saturday

Yesterday, I visited the GK Enchanted Farm with fellow Human Nature Core Advocates for a tour and immersion. This was my sixth visit to the farm. My previous tours were as a social business camper and with friends. Now, I am back as a core advocate with my own Human Nature Online Shop.

But first I needed to fuel up at McDonald’s.

FullSizeRender.jpg

We met up at the Human Nature Flagship Store.

FullSizeRender.jpg

We were also given some nibbles by a fellow core advocate.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Then, it was time for our journey!

FullSizeRender.jpg

We reached the farm at around 9:30am, and we started the tour.

I had a wonderful day of touring the farm, it’s various social enterprises, and of course, enjoying the delicious bounty of the earth!

It was time for our ride back to the city.

FullSizeRender.jpg

And before going home, I enjoyed an early dinner of toasted naked longganisa at Breakfast Bin.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I needed the farm tour to realign myself with my values and to appreciate life more. I am proud to see the farm grow, and to be in the company of kindhearted friends.

Here’s to more goodness and opportunities!

Prayer and Luck

Yesterday, I managed to eat somewhere new! I’ve been hearing positive reviews about Sinji Dimsum at SM North Sky Garden. I ended up eating there primarily because of their interesting tiles.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I ordered the truffle mushroom siomai rice meal and it was delicious! Their in-house garlic chili sauce perfectly spiced-up this dish.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I sent a postcard via snail mail to one of my Human Nature online store clients after my hearty meal and coffee. Do support my entrepreneurial venture and click now to shop for natural and locally-made toiletries!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I also dropped by St. Clare Monastery to pray for good health, good vibes, and a fantastic job.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Before going home, I chanced upon this auspicious dragon dance.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I am optimistic for the future, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead! With a little luck and lots of prayers, I know that I got this.

Social Saturday

Yesterday, I bought my personal toiletries from the Human Nature Flagship Store. I also bought some orders for my customers. For all your natural personal care needs, just buy from my Human Nature Online Store! Thank you!

IMAGE.JPG

I also claimed my Dealer ID from the girls at the store.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I finally got my own Human Nature matte lipstick too! This is much talked about as the packaging is mostly paper. Here I am in the shade Warmth.

IMAGE.JPG

I indulged in some pasta for lunch at the Vertis North weekend market.

IMAGE.JPG
IMAGE.JPG

Then, I met up with my best friend Luti for some froyo at Elait,

IMAGE.JPG

I ordered their strawberry mango cheesecake froyo and it was heavenly as always!

FullSizeRender.jpg

We also had Fried Chicken Master.

IMAGE.JPG
FullSizeRender.jpg

And for dinner, I had Kimchi Project’s kimchi rice.

IMAGE.JPG

Life is always better with natural products, good food, and great company!

Strengthening Myself

Yesterday, I drove to the Human Nature Flagship Store along Commonwealth Avenue to attend the launch of their new lipsticks!

IMAGE.JPG

I was so excited to try these lipsticks. Matte lipsticks are my go-to makeup, and now I can finally buy this staple from my favorite natural store.

FullSizeRender.jpg

The formula is matte, yet it glides on smoothly without tugging.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

And since my favorite shade is strength, I was chosen to represent it during the launch.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
IMAGE.JPG

I had so much fun! And I am sure that you will definitely like these lipsticks too. Buy from me today via my Human Nature Online Store

FullSizeRender.jpg

It was also a privilege to meet Sami, the daughter of my friend Ate Yla (she’s the manager of  the Human Nature Flagship Store). She’s a college freshman with a small business of her own. I supported her accessories store by purchasing some semi-precious stone bracelets for my parents.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I also bought two bracelets for myself. They’re absolutely stunning! Plus, Sami donates part of the proceeds to charity.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I later had a waxing session nearby.

FullSizeRender.jpg
IMAGE.JPG

And finally, I got to have lunch again at Breakfast Bin. I missed their toasted naked longganisa with brown aligue rice.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I had a day of natural pampering, wherein I was even reminded of my strength. I am strong because I can still show up and be there at events despite all the challenges that I am facing. I can still smile and wear lipstick. And I am still capable of supporting businesses with a heart.

I hope that you will help me support myself and reach my dreams! Buy from my Human Nature online store today

Doing Good with Doggos

Yesterday, I had the Sgt. Steak salad again at Go! Salads. I am addicted to their chimichurri dressing. I simply can’t get enough of it.

FullSizeRender.jpg

After my hearty meal, I proceeded to Human Nature to purchase my personal necessities and get orders for my customers.

FullSizeRender.jpg

You too can support me and my family by making a purchase at my Human Nature online store! To all those who have already purchased, thank you for your support! Please continue patronizing my small business, and I hope that you will spread the word about my shop.

FullSizeRender.jpg

To cheer myself up after spending time with at the hospital with my terminally-I’ll father, I visited Barkin’ Blends Dog Cafe to hug my furry friends.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I went back to Go! Salads to try another selection from their menu. This time, I had the Bayani Salad, which is known for its adobo flakes. I liked it, but I think I’m more of a Sgt. Steak girl.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Before going to bed, I depotted my Sunnies Face Fluffmatte lipstick in Hot Sauce. While the lipstick brand is known to break easily, it’s color payoff and opacity are out of this world. I had to salvage what’s left of my tube by transferring it in a 3ml jar, microwaving it for two minutes to set it in the container, and letting it cool on room temperature.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I have chosen local products and produce today. Human Nature is a social enterprise, so each purchase benefits a poor community that the company supports. Go! Salads supports farmers and ensures that their produce is pesticide-free. Barkin’ Blends welcomes people of all ages, genders, and statuses in life. And Sunnies Face is part of the Sunnies Group, which is known to have charitable donations, such as their Christmas giveaway Dear Sunnies Santa

By taking care of myself and supporting brands that do good, I know that I am doing the right thing with my limited resources. I hope that you will also find some brands that support others, and that you will continue paying for goodness to continue growing.

Christmas Eve 2018

Yesterday, I got to eat lunch with my Lucas relatives. I wore my new Sunnies Specs glasses from Sunnies Santa and applied Sunnies Face Glowboss on my cheekbones for some extra sparkle.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

We chose Katherine’s Cafe at Vertis North as they had a wide range of food for our varied tastes. Since I was craving for pasta, I ordered this Vigan longganisa and salted egg number. It was delicious!

FullSizeRender.jpg

My goddaughter Kate was ready to eat pizza and bring some Christmas cheer that only kids could give.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I gave her kid’s toiletries from my Human Nature online store. You may still purchase last minute presents and have them delivered straight to your doorstep! Shop now!

I also got her a special toy from Toys R Us.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I received some lovely presents and I am grateful to be part of my relatives’ shopping lists!

There are still plenty of blessings to be grateful for. Amidst all the challenges that my family is facing, I am still thankful that we get to celebrate Christmas together this year.

From my family to yours, Merry Christmas!

Staying Crafty

Yesterday, I claimed my blood test results from the hospital. I was surprised with their festive holiday setup, which added cheer to my day.

IMG_3895.JPG

Thankfully, my thyroid test results were good!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I celebrated with a stuffed crinkle from The Craft Central Cafe.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

It was the best crinkle I’ve ever had outside of ADB!

FullSizeRender.jpg

Then, it was time for me to buy Christmas presents at Human Nature. I also got a bag of garlic banana chips, which is a guiltless snack of mine!

FullSizeRender.jpg

After paying for my gifts, I sipped some coffee while listening to Christmas songs in-store.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Human Nature still accepts usable toys to be donated to GK kids! Please donate your old toys at any Human Nature store.

You may also support me and my family by making a purchase from my Human Nature online store. Thank you and God bless you!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I went to Papemelroti to check-out their new stationery.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I ended up buying this pocket calendar, which I need to plan my events and obligations on the go.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

It is perfect with my analog planning style.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I took a Grab ride and knitted to my destination.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Finally, it was time for dinner at Bonchon.

FullSizeRender.jpg

And I was able to squeeze in some shopping at Daiso before calling it a day.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I am managing my tasks one day at a time. I use tools like my handy analog planner, rewards like stuffed crinkles, and to keep myself afloat, I spend my earnings from my Human Nature online store. Please continue to support my business, so that I can carry on with life knowing that I am also helping GK communities with every product sold.

Core Advocate Forever

I have been selling Human Nature products for five years now, and I have been an online seller of their natural products this year. My Human Nature online store continues to be a blessing to my life, as I am able to earn extra by selling products which I personally use and have transformed the lives of many Filipinos. Please support my store by making a purchase today!

FullSizeRender.jpg

To my regular customers, and to all of you who have made a purchase by reading my blog entries, thank you! It is because of you that I continue to believe in Human Nature and its effective products.

FullSizeRender.jpg

More importantly, your support has enabled me to believe in myself. And because of this, I have supported Human Nature’s fundraising initiative for Marawi this Christmas. In exchange for my support, I received this beautiful bracelet by Silverworks.

My life continues to be blessed, thanks to brands like Human Nature that allow me to give back with every purchase and product sold.

Presents and Presence

I recently finished kniting this millennial pink cowl and started a scarf featuring multicolored yarn from The Attic Yarn and Craftery. It was actually a birthday gift from them, and it even came with this sweet card.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I brought my knitting to a meeting the other day, but before discussing serious matters, I had lunch at the Human Nature Cafe, which is exclusive for employees. I got to eat there because my friend Cindy treated me to lunch.

FullSizeRender.jpg

I had the all-heart burger, which is vegan and delicious!

FullSizeRender.jpg

I knitted while waiting for my meeting to begin.

FullSizeRender.jpg

And after that, I went to the Pink Sisters Convent to buy greeting cards! Each card enrolls the recipient in their perpetual masses.

FullSizeRender.jpg

There are cards for various occasions.

FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg
FullSizeRender.jpg

I capped off my day with a foot massage at my neighborhood spa.

FullSizeRender.jpg

Life may be imperfect, but I know what my priorities are. While looking for Mr. Right, I am treating myself well and pursuing my passions, such as knitting! And of course, I’m grateful for friends who care.
