Le Fleur Coffee Holder
I recently purchased my second cup holder from local small business Le Fleur. Their vegan cup holders have made my coffee or juice experience more delightful and aesthetically pleasing. It also warms my heart that their cup holders are all locally made by hand. I am all for small businesses that champion local craftsmanship and style.
Buy your own Le Fleur cup holder here! Enjoy your coffee!
Merced Bakehouse
I ordered a cake from Merced Bakehouse for my mom’s recent birthday. It was their Sunflower Cake, with a mocha base. It was delicious, light, and satisfyingly vintage. Highly recommended, especially if you are fond of nostalgic cakes from your childhood.
Merced Bakehouse has been churning out cakes since 1972. Do give them some love by ordering cakes and other goodies here. Enjoy!
Bamba Buns
Local small business Bamba Buns has been making waves of late online. I have seen their mouthwatering photos, so I ordered a boxed set of three chicken burgers and two sides for me and my family.
WE LOVED OUR BAMBA BUNS!
I got the Caesar which was a sandwich version of my favorite salad. It was so flavorful! Meanwhile, their onion rings and homemade fries were also delicious.
I recommend this to anyone who likes chicken sandwiches as much as I do! Check out Bamba Buns on Instagram to place an order today!
Smiley Mart
We are currently faced with plenty of challenges whilst on home quarantine. Sure, the lockdown keeps us safe, but the four walls of our home can feel psychologically limiting. I am not a mental health expert, but I know how staying at home 24/7 can get the better of us.
Studies have shown that self-care is a key factor in maintaining a positive mindset during the pandemic. Self-care does not only refer to the indulgent rituals that we occasionally enjoy such as going to the salon or getting a massage. Rather, it ought to be an everyday, conscious practice that simply means prioritizing our own well-being in order to better cope with our external surroundings.
I am promoting Smiley Mart items not only because my friends own this business, but also because their natural items are helpful in one’s self-care practice. I recommend their Beauty Factor collagen drink and Stevia Wonder food sweetener. Both products do not contain sugar and are beneficial to one’s health and wellness.
Do give these items a try and support Smiley Mart today!
Your Feelings are Valid
Recently, I have been writing on my Your Feelings are Valid journal by Sincerely, Kristine.
It has helped me solve my worries and fears.
I was able to navigate through my emotions and deepest traumas.
I was also able to understand myself better.
I highly recommend this journal, especially now that we are facing many uncertainties. While I am not facing any mental struggle in my life, I must say that psychological first aid has been a valuable resource.
You may buy this journal here. Stay safe, everyone!
Early Birthday Party
I had to advance my birthday celebration in order to allow my partner to drop by our residence before the ECQ will take effect. I ordered Taiwanese food to celebrate. We had chicken chops from Songshan Taipei Treats and spicy dan dan noodles from Pilya’s Kitchen.
This post is not sponsored, and I would like to highlight these two small businesses as their food became a source of enjoyment for my family during our celebration. Songshan will be closed during the ECQ, and their operations will resume once the lockdown has been lifted. Pilya’s Kitchen however, is continuously operating from The Grid Rockwell. I hope that you will continue to support them!
The lockdown can be a source of sadness and stress, so I hope that a hearty meal will get us through these trying times.
Stay safe, everyone!
SisigSaRada
I recently had park and dine lunch from SisigSaRada. I finally got to try their famous sisig meal (Php90). It was delicious! No wonder they had a huge following at their original Makati branch. I now get it. Their food is really good.
I also got their beef tapa meal (Php100) for dinner. It was also heavenly! Their tapa was made of quality beef. It was one of the best tapsilog meals I have ever had.
Do swing by SisigSaRada QC for your sisig or tapsilog fix! Promise, you won’t regret it!
Cube Coffee
I recently visited Cube Coffee, a third wave cafe along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue, Quezon City. I was blown away by their Spanish Latte (Php165) which was one of the better lattes I’ve had in a while. I was struck by the fact that they put latte art on a to-go order.
Their place also has soul. There were books everywhere, and they had eco-friendly essentials made of bamboo for sale. They also had a small box of paintings and handmade earrings for sale. This place is magical.
If you are craving for strong coffee and a place with a heart, please swing by Cube Coffee!
Flying House Ocho Pizza
Flying House is a small restaurant and bar that I frequent along Malingap Street, Quezon City. I love their homey vibe and delicious bar chow. Their Ocho Pizza has become an instant favorite for me and my partner. Its thin crust and generous supreme toppings brought back happy childhood memories. We highly recommend this!
Pilya’s Kitchen July 2021
I recently visited Pilya’s Kitchen at The Grid Food Market for some delicious hand-pulled noodles! Their biang biang noodle soup has been my favorite food delivery during the pandemic. Since then, I have been a fan! I first visited their stall at The Grid last February. I missed their food so much.
Of course I had to order their famous beef biang biang noodle soup! It tastes like a hug on a rainy day. It is filling, comforting, and delicious.
Look at how thick these noodles are! Each bowl is prepared upon ordering. The noodles were hand-pulled with love by their resident chef, Kriza Palmero.
This is a sure winner so you better try this the next time that you are at Power Plant Mall! You won’t be disappointed.
And if you meet Chef Kriza there, please say hi! She is the nicest friend, so I hope you will also support her business!
Stay safe, everyone!

Hackensack Diner
Last Saturday, I had an amazing lunch at Hackensack. It is a 1950s diner that serves hamburgers, milkshakes, fries, and apple pie. I had all of those and it was the perfect cheat meal! Pro tip: order the strawberry shake and drink it before enjoying their warm apple pie. It will make you feel fuzzy and cozy!
This isn’t a sponsored post. I’m just a happy customer who enjoyed a fantastic burger with lovely sides and dessert. Do check them out! It was worth every calorie.
